The new Eee PC 1101HA from ASUS has been released as an addition to its Seashell lineup. The 11.6 inch display with 1366×768 resolution is an improvement from the 10-inch screen previously found with the 1008HA.

Inside the system is the Intel Atom Z520 or Z530 processor, along with 1GB of RAM. Additionally, you’ll get three USB 2.0 ports and a multi-format memory card reader for reading multimedia, as well as a 160GB hard drive for all of your files. The six-cell battery comes in two versions; 2200mAh and 2800mAh, each offering 9.5 and 11 hours of runtime respectively. Of course, the unit is also Wifi and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR capable and has a 10/100 ethernet port. A 1.3 megapixel webcam is also integrated into the design.

    I’m excited to test one of these and compare it to my 1008HA. Asus should be coming out with some NVIDIA ION options soon and then the fun will truly start.
