ASUS has introduced the new multimedia EeePC1201N netbook featuring an NVIDIA ION graphic along with a dual-core Intel Atom 330 processor.

Thanks to the Intel Atom 330 and DDR dual channel memory, Eee PC 1201N is able to achieve the PCMark05 and 3DMark06 results exceeding the abilities of all other netbooks on the markets. ASUS Eee PC 1201N is only a netbook but it’s performance is way above average. Eee PC based on ION platform is a great device for all those who are looping something more than just a regular netbook. If you want to watch a HD movie, edit and share your photos, play games or convert a video file to a portable multimedia player – the new ASUS Eee PC 1201N is definitely for you. All those abilities have been confirmed by Rene Haas – the general manager for notebook GPUs from NVIDIA.

the performance is impressive, but the battery life is pretty bad with the big processor http://newnetbookreviews.net/2009/asus-eee-pc-1201n-hands-on-2/
