Dell Latitude 2100 Netbook: Netbook for students

The first reggedised netbook to be released from Dell has been announced, the Latitude 2100, designed with the student in mind.
This netbook comes with a 10.1 inch screen and the Intel Atom N270 CPU under the hood, and can be configured to run with Windows XP, Windows Vista Basic or Ubuntu Linux. Of course, like all Dell notebooks, you can customize this system to your heart’s content, choosing between a solid-state drive or a more conventional 5400rpm hard drive. You can also get up to 2GB of DDR2 SDRAM, and choose between the standard 3-cell battery or upgrade to the 6-cell battery for longer battery life. Even the LCD screen can be upgraded to a touch screen, if you really want something fancy!

I think Latitude 2100 ’s Battery life not well, too short to use.
Aimed primarily at school kids, the Dell Latitude 2100 is an interesting new take on the Netbook. It’s worth a look if the unique features–including an especially rugged design and a touch screen–are important to you.
