A new model: Viewsonic VNB102 has just joined the previous VNB100 and VNB101 models.

With a 10-inch screen and a 1.6 GHz Intel Atom N270, the new ViewBook is worth of interest. Other features of the new Viewsonic VNB102 ViewBook are: 1GB DDR2 RAM, Intel 945GSE graphics, 160GB hard drive, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, 0.3 MPix webcam, 1.5W stereo speakers, 3-in-1 card reader (SD, MMC, MS) and a 6 cell battery. The most interesting fact is that the VNB102 runs on a Windows 7 operating system. The price is already known - $399.

It’s as good as any other in this fungible world but for keyboard lettering. Unless you’re directly under a good light source forget it. The engineering team thought appearance was more important than function and so light, hard to read letting won out!

Form leads function with this netbook I’m sorry to say.
